Ron McChesney - President

Ron McChesney is the president of McChesney Construction Company, Inc. He was born in Maine, raised in Kansas City and Dallas, and settled in San Diego in 1967 after completing his military service. Ron and his wife Kathy, an artist, have made their home in the Bird Rock area of La Jolla for more than 20 years.

An avid builder since childhood, Ron was known in his neighborhood as the kid who built the best tree houses and forts. His fascination with how things are put together and a passion for detail led to his entry as a young man into the fledgling computer industry. He worked in that field for more than 20 years, as a computer programmer, analyst, project manager, director and consultant. As time went on, Ron’s passion for building and construction led him to the career of his dreams. Combining his computer systems expertise with his love for building things, Ron obtained his California Contractors License (CCL #559230) in 1989, started McChesney Construction and began working as a licensed building contractor. Today, Ron brings his superior project management, problem solving and organizational skills to every project, job site and client.
